About Shaw Heights Middle School

Welcome to Shaw Heights Middle School, where our mission is to empower and inspire life-long learners.

At Shaw Heights, we pride ourselves on creating an innovative and student-centered learning environment. Our campus is equipped with state-of-the-art technology to support instruction and engagement. Every student has access to a personal computer, and every classroom is outfitted with interactive displays to enhance both teaching and learning. Teachers integrate digital tools and applications daily to provide students with dynamic, hands-on learning experiences. Students consistently report that these tools make learning more interactive, relevant, and enjoyable.

We are also proud to offer one of the most comprehensive and vibrant elective programs in the region:

  • Our Performing Arts department serves over 200 students and includes classes in musical theater, choir, band, and orchestra.

  • Our Visual Arts program offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of media in an environment that celebrates creativity and self-expression. Many of our students have been recognized for their work at the District Art Showcase.
